Leicester may soon face a point deduction for violating financial regulations of the English Premier League, reports The Guardian.
According to the source, Premier League lawyers will carefully examine Leicester for any such violations over the next two weeks. The decision based on the results of this investigation will be published on January 13.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Leicester has faced the threat of point deduction. In March 2024, the Premier League accused Leicester of financial violations during the 2022/23 season amounting to £24.4 million, but Leicester's appeal against this decision was upheld.
