Cristiano Ronaldo may leave Al-Nassr and return to Europe. A club from his home country’s league, Sporting, is interested in the star forward, El Gol Digital reports.
Sporting, where Cristiano started his professional career, is showing serious interest in him, and Ronaldo may agree to transfer to the Lisbon club.
The Portuguese veteran has repeatedly stated that he wants to finish his career at his hometown Sporting. It should be noted that Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire in the summer of 2025. The Saudis intend to keep Cristiano by offering him a new contract, but the 39-year-old forward is in no hurry to sign an agreement.
If Ronaldo returns to Sporting, he would be able to play in the Champions League again. Thus, the Portuguese could improve his record for the number of goals in the main European tournament.
In the current campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo has played 19 matches for Al-Nassr in official tournaments. The legendary Portuguese has scored 16 goals and provided three assists.
