Colombia national team midfielder James Rodriguez is set to continue his career in American MLS.

As Fabrizio Romano writes on Twitter, the 33-year-old player will terminate his contract with Rayo Vallecano in the coming days and will gain free agent status. The midfielder wants to find regular playing time to adequately represent Colombia at the 2026 World Cup.

During his time at Rayo Vallecano, James only played seven matches in all competitions and made one assist.
