The Zhytomyr-based “Polissya” is engaged in serious negotiations for the purchase of 25-year-old forward Facundo Batista from the Mexican club “Necaxa”, who is currently on loan at the Uruguayan club “Peñarol”.
For a successful completion of the transfer, an agreement will be required between the three clubs – “Polissya”, “Necaxa”, and “Peñarol”, with whom the forward currently has a temporary employment contract until June 30.
According to Sport.ua, the management of “Peñarol” is currently somewhat stalling the transfer as they are not entirely satisfied with the compensation amount proposed to the Uruguayans for agreeing to terminate the loan agreement early.
It is expected that the parties will still be able to reach an agreement in the coming days, as “Peñarol” is generally not categorically opposed and shows a willingness to negotiate.
There is currently no information about the amount of the potential transfer. It is only known that “Polissya” has already agreed on all details of a 3-year contract with the player.
In half a year of performances at “Peñarol”, Batista scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 23 official matches.
