The UAF informs about the end of the contract with the honored coach of Ukraine, Yuriy Moroz.
Yuriy Moroz. Photo: UAF press serviceHe dedicated many years of his career to working with the national teams of Ukraine. Yuriy Moroz is one of those coaches who helped the generation born in 1990 to win gold medals at Euro-2009 (U-19), the final tournament of which took place in the stadiums of Donetsk and Mariupol. Initially, he worked in Yuriy Kalitvintsev's staff, managed the team himself from 2007 to 2009, and before the final part of Euro-2009 handed the management of the national team back to Kalitvintsev.
In 2009, Moroz began working with the generation of players born in 1994, with whom he participated in two qualifying tournaments - Euro-2011 (U-17) and Euro-2013 (U-19).
At the same time, he assisted Pavlo Yakovenko in the youth national team, managing the team in several matches (2010, 2012).
In 2022, Moroz returned to work with Ukraine's youth national teams - initially with the players born in 2006 (with them he participated in the Euro-2023 (U-17) qualifiers), and in 2024 he took charge of the younger youth teams (not older than U-17) and managed to work with three teams in a year - born in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Moreover, with the team born in 2007, he performed remarkably well in the elite round of Euro-2024 (U-17) qualifiers and managed them in the final tournament of the European Championship. In October 2024, he led the players born in 2008 to the elite round of Euro-2025 (U-17) qualifiers.
