Kyiv’s «Dynamo» continues preparation for the second part of the season at a training camp in Turkey.
On Saturday, the day after the first friendly match of the new year, instead of the usual training on the football field, the team’s schedule included a theoretical session where the coaching staff thoroughly analyzed the mistakes made by the team in the game with «Magdeburg».
In the evening, the Dynamo players held a full training session on the field. It began with congratulations to two birthday boys — Denis Ihnatenko and Matviy Ponomarenko, who received personalized jerseys with today’s date from Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, after which the players greeted them in a traditional «corridor of honor».
During the warm-up, the players performed exercises to strengthen their muscles with fitness bands, and also competed in a relay.
The main part of the work began with practicing passes, combinations, and movements. The goalkeepers initially worked under a separate program but joined the general group that moved on to practicing the finishing of attacks.
Defenders worked separately at the end of the session under the guidance of Serhiy Fedorov on building defensive interactions.
In today’s and the previous training sessions, the former head coach of the team Mircea Lucescu was present. He happily communicated with the club president Ihor Surkis, former colleagues from the coaching staff, and with his players, noting their progress.
On Sunday, January 12, «Dynamo» will play their second friendly match, where the opponent will be the Romanian FC Steaua Bucharest. In this game, the coaching staff plans to give the players who start more playing time than in the first game. The match will take place in Belek, at the Gloria Sports Arena. The meeting will start at 17:00 local time (16:00 Kyiv time).
And the next day, on Monday, the «white-blues» will hold their third friendly match of the camp — against the Polish «Widzew».
