The transfer of Donetsk "Shakhtar" midfielder Alexander Zubkov to Turkish "Trabzonspor" will not take place, reports Fanatik. The reason is the insatiable financial appetites of the "miners".
Initially, the Turks offered 4 million euros for the 28-year-old midfielder, to which "Shakhtar" requested twice as much, 8 million euros. After some pause, "Trabzonspor" continued negotiations, seeking to find a compromise, but the Donetsk team categorically refused to change its initial demand for the sum of the release clause.
As a result, "Trabzonspor" left "Shakhtar" alone and has already begun working on an alternative transfer option: at the moment, the Turkish club is negotiating the acquisition of Brazilian "Botafogo" winger Junior Santos.
