Friendly match

“DYNAMO” (Kyiv, Ukraine) — “WIDZEW” (Łódź, Poland)1:1 (0:1)
Goals: Vanat (88, pen) — Sobol (41)

“Dynamo” (first half): 51. Morgun (1. Bouschan, 46), 20. Karavaev, 40. Bilovar (5. Okon, 32), 19. Slyubik, 44. Dubinchak, 43. Ishchenko, 76. Pikhalyonok, 15. Rubchinsky, 7. Yarmolenko (34. Gerich, 45), 45. Bragaru, 39. Guerrero (99. Ponomarenko, 32).

Starting from the 64th minute: 1. Bouschan, 24. Tymchik, 3. Dyachuk, 32. Mikhavko, 2. Vivcharenko, 91. Mikhailenko, 33. Salenko, 10. Shaparenko, 22. Kabaev, 9. Voloshin, 11. Vanat.

The match started at a rather leisurely pace: both teams focused more on ball control than creating scoring opportunities. Only after the first ten minutes of play did we see the first truly dangerous moment: after a quick attack down the right flank, Guerrero passed the ball in one touch into the opponent’s box to Rubchinsky, but the Kyiv midfielder shot over the goal from a few meters away.

A few minutes later, another great opportunity was wasted by Pikhalyonok: the midfielder accepted the ball at the edge of the penalty area and decided to shoot hard — the ball flew straight into the “Widzew” goalkeeper, and from him, it went out for a corner. The advantage of Shovkovsky’s team became increasingly evident, and it seemed that it was only a matter of time before the first goal against the team from Łódź.

In the 31st minute, Bragaru missed the third exquisite opportunity to score in the match, also shooting from a sharp angle, but this time missing the goal.

However, “Widzew” unexpectedly managed to convert their only opportunity in the first half in the 41st minute. Taking advantage of a series of mistakes by the “white-blues” near their penalty area, the Polish team’s forward Sobol won a physical battle against Slyubik and shot accurately into the corner — 0:1.

After the break, Dynamo continued to play as the top team, creating yet another super goal-scoring chance near the “Widzew” goal. In the 51st minute of the contest, Ponomarenko, finding himself one-on-one with the opponent’s goalkeeper, shot against the crossbar!

The “white-blues” “closed” the Łódź team in their half of the field, wanting to equalize as soon as possible. However, our team lacked either the final accurate pass or the finishing shot. The goalkeeper of the Polish club also performed remarkably, making several great saves.

However, he could do nothing against Vanat’s shot in the 88th minute. The Kyiv team earned a penalty due to a handball by the “Widzew” defender in their box, and the shot from the “spot” was accurately converted by the “white-blues” forward — 1:1. As a result, having made 20 shots during the match at the opponents' goal, the “white-blues” managed to earn only a draw.

We remind you that their next friendly match during the training camp in Turkey will be played by “Dynamo” on Thursday, January 16. The opponent of Shovkovsky’s team will be the Slovenian “Maribor”. The match begins at 10:00 Kyiv time.
