Famous manager and expert Vyacheslav Zakhovailo shared his impressions from the friendly matches of Kyiv's Dynamo during the current preseason training camp.
Vyacheslav Zakhovailo“The first stage of the preseason training is coming to an end. In five days, the Dynamo players will face another test in the Europa League. Are the Kyivans ready for the start of the season?
I watched all the games during the training camp very carefully. Of course, I was waiting for news from the transfer market. As a result, two players left the club. Andriyevsky and Shepelev became free agents, which was, in principle, expected, except for the gesture of goodwill from the club president.
A couple of central defenders are on trial at the club — Slyubik, Okon. I will say cautiously: they have not made an impression yet. Slyubik recently underwent serious injury rehabilitation. In short, the guy is currently recovering. He has the parameters, but I have doubts that Dynamo will wait: a defender is needed now. Okon: he is not stronger than the defenders currently available to Shovkovskyi.
Youth players have impressed. Salenko and Ponomarenko tried hard and did their best. I am sure their time will come.
Yarmolenko is not ready yet, but he is 100% needed by the team.
The coaching staff has returned to the accustomed structure of the game. It is noticeable that Shovkovskyi demands intensity when playing the ball. The team is currently sluggish, but it should be like this. The training camp has been very physically demanding for the players, and time is needed for recovery. There are five days left until the game (against Galatasaray in the Europa League, — ed. note), I hope there will be a break in the workloads and the team will run.
Don't expect miracles in the game against the Turks. The Dynamo players are capable of surprising everyone unexpectedly. I am waiting for the confidence in their own abilities to return to the players.
I am waiting for news from the transfer market, Dynamo needs reinforcements...
Wishing everyone well! Glory to Ukraine,” wrote Zakhovailo on his Facebook page.
