Polish journalist Piotr Śląka shared interesting information about the Czech club "Lišen," to which former Kyiv "Dynamo" striker Artem Běsědin has moved.
Artem BěsědinIn November 2024, the new owner of the football club "Lišen" became entrepreneur and billionaire from Brno Igor Fajt. Fajt bought the second division team "Lišen" from former chairman Karel Hladiš, who led the club for 40 years and helped it rise from the ninth league to the second highest division.
Igor Fajt is the founder of the investment group Jet Investment and according to Forbes's 2023 ranking, he was among the 100 richest Czechs. He joined "Lišen" with ambitious plans: To promote the club to the first league—preferably in the current season through playoffs, but no later than the next. To build a strong club in Brno, reflecting the position of the second largest city in the Czech Republic. To create a top-tier youth academy in collaboration with FC "Zbrojovka Brno."
Along with the new owner, the club brought in a new general director, Libor Kleibl, who had previously worked for 20 years at "Slovan" in Liberec. In December 2024, Fajt hired Pavel Vrba (!) as the head coach, a former national team coach and multiple champion with "Victoria Plzeň". Fajt had been interested in entering Brno football earlier when he unsuccessfully tried to acquire "Zbrojovka Brno". Now "Lišen" will be a direct competitor to "Zbrojovka" in the fight for promotion to the first league and for the position of the best club in Brno," Śląka wrote on Telegram.
