The former legionnaire of “Dnipro”, Davidson Morais, openly talked about the club’s general director, Andriy Stetsenko, who humiliated the Brazilian.
Andriy Stetsenko— For me, this was a very important moment, because during my injuries, the club’s general director humiliated me, implying that I was only receiving money and doing nothing. After the departure of coach Protasov, the situation became significantly more complicated for me. Today, for the first time, I can speak openly about this. In that match, I returned to the field, showed a great game, and was recognized by many as the best player. That was the moment when my value in the team was finally seen.
— Are you talking about the then general director Andriy Stetsenko?
— Yes, I am talking specifically about him. He was an unpleasant, rude person who humiliated me a lot with words and actions during this period because of my injuries.
Morais moved to “Dnipro” from the Greek club “Olympiakos” in 2006. The Brazilian spent two and a half years at Dnipro and overall played 35 official matches in Ukraine.
