Former Manchester United and Scotland national team footballer Denis Law has passed away at the age of 84. This is reported by the United press service.

“Everyone at Manchester United is mourning the loss of Denis Law, the King of Stretford End, who has passed away at the age of 84.
The top scorer, his talent, spirit, and love for the game made him a hero of his generation. Our deepest condolences to Denis’s family and numerous friends. His memory will live on forever,” states the announcement.
The club does not disclose the causes of death. It is known that in recent years the legendary footballer suffered from Alzheimer’s disease.
Recall that Denis Law scored 237 goals in 404 matches for the Red Devils. He ranks third on the list of the club’s all-time top scorers. The forward was the last living member of Manchester United’s ‘Holy Trinity’ after the deaths of George Best in 2005 and Sir Bobby Charlton in 2023.
With Manchester United, Law won the Premier League twice and the FA Super Cup, as well as the national cup of this country and the UEFA Champions Cup (Champions League). Denis is also the top scorer for the Scotland national team, with 30 goals in 55 matches.
In 1964, Law was the recipient of the France Football Ballon d\'Or, awarded to the best footballer in Europe.
