As reported by journalist Luis Antunes on his Twitter, the 21-year-old player has notified the Shakhtar management of his desire to return to his homeland, Brazil. Shakhtar has taken time to consider the situation.

At the same time, according to Brazilian media, Gomes has already agreed on the terms of a personal contract with Botafogo. However, it is clear that Shakhtar will not easily let their legionnaire go: a year ago, they paid 12 million euros for him, and Gomes himself is tied to the Donetsk team with a contract that lasts until the end of 2028.
