Balotelli may stay in Serie A after contract termination with Genoa

Forward Mario Balotelli is discussing the possibility of an early termination of his contract with Genoa, reports Calciomercato.

With the arrival of head coach Patrick Vieira at the Griffins, the forward has lost even the limited playing time he had. The 34-year-old plans to terminate his agreement with Genoa and join Monza as a free agent, which is currently in last place in the Serie A table after the 21st round.

Balotelli has played six matches in the Italian championship for Genoa, all of which were brief appearances after coming on as a substitute.
