The head coach of Turkish Galatasaray, Okan Buruk, summed up yesterday’s match of his team against Kyiv’s Dynamo (3:3) in the 7th round of the main stage of the Europa League.

Despite conceding a goal at the end of the first half, we went into halftime with a score of 2:1 and then scored our third goal. We absolutely had the ability to at least hold onto that advantage, but Dynamo changed their game and managed to score again.
When the score became 3:2, our opponent understandably wanted to save the match. But we also tried to find our chances for a fourth goal. Yet we still conceded the third goal. We managed to concede it at a moment when we had six people in defense.
We outperformed our opponent in all indicators today. However, we made mistakes. This was one of those matches where we dominated. Overall, I am satisfied with my team’s performance. However, we conceded goals that we shouldn’t have conceded.
Today our opponent had only 6 shots on target, 3 of which led to goals. It’s more about how Dynamo finished their attacks than a significant weakness in our defense. Nevertheless, we needed to play more attentively. We conceded three goals today due to a lack of concentration in those episodes.
We regret that it ended in a draw. We are upset with this result, but it’s no longer important: we will do everything possible to win against Ajax in the last round and make it to the top 8. Our goal remains unchanged — to reach the final of the Europa League,” said Buruk at the post-match press conference.
