Former forward of Donetsk "Shakhtar" and the national team of Ukraine Andrey Vorobey shared his impressions from the match of the 7th round of the main stage of the Europa League between Turkish "Galatasaray" and Kyiv "Dynamo" (3:3), which took place last Tuesday in Istanbul.

— "Dynamo" surprised. To be honest, after the score became 2:0 in favor of the Turkish team, I thought: "Well, as usual. "Dynamo" is in its repertoire." But of course, Vanat's first goal changed a lot. After that scored goal, some hopes appeared.
And then the "old man" Yarmolenko came onto the field! Yes, Andrey is somewhat lacking movement, but it is clear that he has goal-scoring instincts. He somehow energized the team with his example and his presence on the field. As a result, Yarmolenko scored two goals.
Basically, things were not working out for "Dynamo", but one can say that they led the game from the first minutes. They also had a good advantage in ball possession. Although, yes, they didn't often create chances for shots. But the Kyiv team controlled the ball and dictated their terms. Yes, something didn’t work, they were losing during the match, but they snatched a draw through character and somewhat raised their image.
— After this brace, will Yarmolenko be called up to the national team of Ukraine?
— This is already a matter for the national team's coaching staff. They will decide who to call up for the position that Yarmolenko plays. I don’t know if he can handle it or not. But the fact that Yarmolenko came on as a substitute and scored two goals indicates that he plays a significant role for "Dynamo". The youth also looks up to Andrey and models themselves after him. Yarmolenko, as the "old man", as the "grandfather", pulls the team along with him.
— Many were afraid that matches would be in January, and Ukrainian teams have already scored 5 goals. This is almost 50% of all goals scored by "Shakhtar" and "Dynamo" in this European campaign.
— Even six. (Laughs). The goal by Zubkov was not counted. Such a number of scored goals is good. To be honest, I was worried about the result and the game. Earlier in January, UPL teams did not compete in European competitions. And these matches showed that we can play well in January. Mostly at this time our teams are in training camps. And friendly matches are training and that is not the level. This year we played at an official level in the Champions League and the Europa League.
