Madrid’s Atlético is targeting Ukrainian defender Alexander Zinchenko of London’s Arsenal, journalist and insider Florian Plettenberg reported on his Twitter.

According to the source, “serious negotiations” are underway between the parties. Atlético is open to both a full transfer of the 28-year-old player, who wants to leave Arsenal, as well as a loan with an obligation to buy.

The current estimated cost of the potential deal is €20 million, plus bonuses.

Furthermore, the journalist reports that Borussia Dortmund remains in the race for Zinchenko, but currently this club is less active than Atlético due to Zinchenko's high transfer fee.
