Ukrainian referee Mykola Balakin has been appointed as the main referee for the 8th round of the group stage of the Champions League match between "Sturm" and "Leipzig". This is reported by the official UEFA website.
Mykola Balakin (photo: gettyimages.com)It is reported that in addition to Balakin, there will be four more referees from Ukraine working at the match: Oleksandr Berkut and Viktor Matyash (assistant referees on the lines). Vitaliy Romanov will be the fourth referee.
As is tradition, there will also be a VAR system at the match. The main VAR referee will be Fedai San, and the VAR assistant referee will be Lukas Fendrich (both from Switzerland).
Recall that the match "Sturm" - "Leipzig" will take place on Wednesday, January 29.
