Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who currently plays for Lokeren, was arrested by Belgian police on Monday on suspicion of smuggling cocaine from South America. This was reported by the Nieuwsblad.be portal.
According to the source, the police found evidence in Nainggolan's car pointing to his involvement in the importation of cocaine into Europe.
“We confirm that footballer Radja Nainggolan is in a temporary detention cell. We cannot say anything more, an investigation is underway,” the official statement from the Brussels prosecutor's office reads.
