The central defender of the Ukrainian national team, Alexander Svatok, told in an interview with FIFA's press service that our team can overcome the tough qualifying group and reach its first World Cup in 20 years.
Alexander Svatok— We have a very difficult group. Those who think it will be easy are mistaken. Today, all teams know how to play well and compactly. There are no easy games anymore; everyone has learned to play more structurally, with their own plans and tasks to accomplish. This is a tough group, but I hope that everything will go well, and Ukraine will be ready. However, it is not worth hoping that it will be easy. We must approach each game with great responsibility and the right mindset. With this, everything will be fine.
I am confident that Ukraine is preparing for the final part. Ukrainian fans are demanding; they will accept nothing less. The point is to accomplish the set task, and I am sure the team will do everything possible to meet the hopes placed on it and qualify. We are a country that loves football, and it would be wonderful if we qualify. I truly believe that we will do it, — said Alexander.
