The President of Kyiv’s Dynamo Igor Surkis commented on the team’s victory in the main round match of the Europa League against RFSh on FootballHub.
— Igor Mykhailovych, the long-awaited victory in the European cups. What did you say to the team after the game?
— I told them, first of all, that they fought. This victory was needed psychologically to prepare for the matches in the Ukrainian championship with a good mood. The guys have been training since January 5, so now they will have four days off, and then continue preparing for the UPL. This European campaign was a complete failure.
— What did the footballers say about the logistics considering that they didn’t have to travel long for the last two matches?
— We had a targeted preparation. Everyone saw that in the match against Galatasaray, the guys played with enthusiasm and demonstrated their skills. Therefore, logistics plays a very big role. Both we and Shakhtar would have earned significantly more points if we had played at home. But we are at war... I hope that this year it will all end. It will end with a just peace for our country, and we will hold matches in our stadiums with many fans.
