The UAF commented on the words of the General Director of Obolon, Oleksandr Riznychenko, at the request of Tribuna.com.
Football House— Has UAF really not provided Obolon with any legal documents (invoices, acts of completed works, contracts) for the payment of VAR referee services until recently, as told to us by General Director Oleksandr Riznychenko?
— Invoices were sent through the UPL, as defined by regulatory documents.
— If they did provide, what documents were those?
— Those were invoices, as defined by regulatory documents. Such invoices are issued to all participants of the Ukrainian championship.
— What does the legal procedure look like for clubs to pay for these VAR referee services?
— According to the Regulations of the Ukrainian Football Championship among clubs of the Ukrainian Premier League for the 2024−25 season, participating UPL clubs ensure targeted funding to the UAF account for the payment of services (fees) for conducting home matches in competitions of referees, referee observers, video assistant referees (VAR), assistant video assistant referees (AVAR), video assistant referee observers, and UAF delegates. The fee amounts are transferred to a separate UAF account based on a corresponding letter.
The UAF forms a separate invoice for each match (targeted funding for the involvement of VOO members (video technical officials) appointed by the UAF Committee for each UPL match according to the tariffs specified in the existing agreement between UAF and UPL) and sends it through the UPL for payment to each UPL club, which undertakes to pay it to the UAF account within 3 (three) working days from the moment of its receipt.
Recently, FC Obolon Kyiv indeed approached the UAF regarding this matter. As of 31.01, the relevant departments of UAF are in communication with the club.
