Famous British journalist Matt Edison praised Ukrainian defender of Bournemouth Illya Zabarniy for his performance in the 24th round match of the English Championship against Liverpool (0:2).

The expert noted his strengths, but reflecting on recent rumors that the Merseysiders are looking for a replacement for 33-year-old Virgil van Dijk, stated that Liverpool would be better off signing the Ukrainian’s partner in defense — Dean Heysen.
“Spanish central defender Dean Heysen was one of the players who stood out in the match against Liverpool. Along with 22-year-old Illya Zabarniy. Zabarniy was exceptional in the air and in ball possession, but he plays as a right center-back. Liverpool will need a replacement for Virgil van Dijk on the left flank, and Heysen could very well be an option,” Edison wrote on Liverpool.com.
