The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association has approved Oleksandr Sytnyk as the head coach of the Ukrainian U-16 youth national team (players of 2009 birth year) and the Ukrainian U-15 youth national team (players of 2010 birth year). The UAF administration has already signed a cooperation agreement with the coach for a term of 1 year. The development of the youth national teams system is one of the priorities in the work of UAF.

According to the results of the draw, our team ended up in Group 1, where in October it will face Italy, Montenegro, and Estonia. Estonia will be the host of the mini-tournament.
Also, in the preliminary plans for this year, the Ukrainian U-16 youth national team aims to participate in friendly international tournaments. The Ukrainian U-15 youth national team will prepare for the Euro-2027 (U-17) qualifiers through training camps and friendly matches, which will start in the fall of 2026.
