Chairman of the UAF Professional Football Committee Oleg Luzhny justified the need for reforming the Ukrainian Cup competition.
Oleg Luzhny— We have been holding the Cup competition in this format for about 50 years. But even a car doesn’t run that long. We need to change something, improve it, to keep up with the times. What the new format will be is unknown. Ahead is a long work in committees, analysis of all possible formats. Then — introducing these formats to clubs to hear their opinions. And when we reach some final versions, we will pass them to UAF for final review and approval,” said Oleg Romanovich.
