Central defender of Plymouth Maksym Talovyerov spoke about his transfer to an English club.
Maksym Talovyerov— There were also rumors in the media that you were negotiating a special clause in the contract in case Plymouth was relegated. Could you partially reveal what it was about?
— According to the contract, I cannot disclose its details, but I prefer to think positively and how to rise higher in the table. This is exactly why I came to help Plymouth and will make every effort.
— Did you consult with anyone from the national team regarding the transfer? Maybe with Serhii Rebrov?
— Everything happened quite quickly and intensively, so there wasn't enough time. I didn't communicate with the coach, but I remember that he played in England — both in the Premier League and in the Championship, so he knows well the quality of English football.
I believe that right now the national team has very important playoff matches of the Nations League, for which preparations are underway — that's why the head coach and staff are busy with the national team matters, not with the clubs of the players. My main task is to ensure that the level of play meets the requirements of the coaching staff and the national team of Ukraine.
