Former Ukrainian forward Vasyl Shved assessed the actions of Ukrainian clubs in the transfer market during the winter window.

— In my opinion, there are clearly two reasons for the sale. First of all — the war. No matter how you look at it, these interrupted matches due to alarms, difficult trips abroad by ground transport do not contribute to the players' progress at all. They simply do not have time to recover due to the difficult logistics.
The second reason — the failure of our two giants in the European Cups. The result is far from what everyone hoped for. And if the result is unsatisfactory, then something needs to change. That’s why the club presidents decided to make changes. Whether it will be possible to bring in stronger players to replace those sold is unknown, — said Shved.
