Monza has decided to relieve head coach Salvatore Bocchetti after the defeat in the match of the 24th round of the Italian championship against Lazio (1:5).

Bocchetti was appointed at the end of December instead of Alessandro Nesta to try to get the team out of the crisis after a difficult start to the season. However, the arrival of the 38-year-old coach did not bring the desired results, as Monza earned only three points in seven Serie A matches after the coaching change.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the vice-president and director of Monza, Adriano Galliani intends to return Alessandro Nesta to the helm of the team.
