After that, Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré decided to celebrate the draw in front of the stand where Liverpool fans were located.
This episode was immediately reacted to by the visitors' midfielder Curtis Jones, who rushed at his opponent. Darwin Núñez, Ashley Young, and all other players, including the coaching staff of both teams, participated in the brawl afterwards.
As a result, the main referee of the match, Michael Oliver, showed red cards to Doucouré, Jones, and also to Liverpool's coach Arne Slot.
