Sir Alex Ferguson has long etched his name into the history of world football. In 2013, the specialist ended his brilliant coaching career. The Scot will return to coaching for the farewell match of his protégé Giuseppe Rossi. The match of world football stars will take place on March 22 in Florence at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, reports talkSPORT.
“Ferguson will be there as a coach. He was my first coach when I signed a contract at 17. I spent only three years with him and played little, but he immediately said ‘yes’, and that shows what kind of person he is. I played little at ‘United’, but he treats me like Cristiano Ronaldo,” Rossi explained.
It is known that famous football stars with whom Rossi played will participate in the farewell match. In particular, Antonio Cassano, Gabriel Batistuta, Sebastian Frey, Luca Toni, Borja Valero, and many others are expected to take part.
