The former acting president of the Ukrainian Athletics Federation, lawyer Yevhen Pronin commented on the situation regarding the lack of information about the results of the doping test of the «B» of Chelsea midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk.
«In mid-December, information emerged about the positive 'A' sample of Mykhailo Mudryk. It was reported that he requested the opening of the 'B' sample. Usually, the 'B' sample is opened/researched and published no later than 8 weeks.
I remember a few examples when this time was a bit longer: Maria Sharapova (the 'A' sample in January 2016, the 'B' sample in June 2016), Tyson Gay waited 11 weeks. Mudryk's sample should have already been opened by today, but the information is missing.
Either the research is somehow taking longer than usual, or Mykhailo's lawyers already know the result and have gone to challenge it in CAS without disclosing known information,» — wrote Pronin on his Telegram channel.
