The match of the 18th round of the First League Group B “Viktoria” — UKSA has caught the attention of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee.

The match of the last game day of 2024 ended with the victory of the home team by a score of 5:1. As a result of an internal club investigation, at least two players were sent for a lie detector test. One of them is 28-year-old central defender Dmytro Makhniev. The results of the first test were questionable, so Makhniev was offered to take another polygraph test, but this time at his own expense. Only based on the results of the second test was the “accused” suspended from the team — the parties terminated the contract.
UKSA appealed to the Ethics and Fair Play Committee, from which they received confirmation that the match is under “examination” and is indeed considered suspicious due to abnormal betting amounts.
It should be noted that Makhniev scored the only goal for FC UKSA in that meeting.
