The future of Bayer midfielder Florian Wirtz remains uncertain. His current contract with the Leverkuseners is valid until the summer of 2027.

As journalist Nicolo Schira writes, Bayern has officially started negotiations to sign the 21-year-old midfielder. The player’s entourage sees a transfer to the Munich club as a potential step in his career that could help Florian become one of the best footballers in Europe.

This season, Wirtz has played 35 matches for Bayer in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists.
