Recall that in May 2024, the Lithuanian women's national team officially canceled matches against the terrorist supporters - the national team of Belarus, which were to take place as part of the Euro-2025 qualifying tournament on May 31 and June 4.
UEFA imposed sanctions on the Lithuanians: in both matches, the Baltic team received technical defeats with a score of 0:3, and its federation has to pay a fine of 5,000 euros. Then Edgar Stankevicius noted that the position of the Lithuanian Football Federation is more important than sanctions and monetary fines.
