Today the world was gifted several famous people who closely linked their lives with football:

Sergey Baltacha (1958) — a former defender who also played as a midfielder. He played for FC Metalist Kharkiv, Ipswich Town in England, and Scottish clubs St. Johnstone and Inverness. However, Baltacha achieved his greatest sporting successes while defending the colors of FC Dynamo Kyiv, where he became a four-time champion and holder of the USSR Cup. In 1986, as part of the "white-blue," Sergey Pavlovich won the last European trophy in the history of Kyiv — the Cup Winners’ Cup. After finishing his playing career, he continued to live in London.
Denis Popov (1999) — defender of FC Dynamo Kyiv. He began his football training at the Kyiv RVUFK before continuing at Dynamo. On April 13, 2019, he made his debut for the first team of Dynamo in a match against Mariupol. He played for Ukraine’s youth and junior national teams up to the ages of 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21. In 2019, as part of Ukraine's under-20 national team, he became the winner of the U-20 World Championship.
Igor Gamula (1960-2021) — a former Soviet midfielder. At press conferences, he usually behaved informally and emotionally. "Thanks" to this, his name became synonymous in the football fan community. In Ukraine, he coached Tavriya and Zakarpattia. He passed away on December 8, 2021. According to preliminary reports, the cause of death may have been hypoglycemic shock.
