The FFU Referees Committee has appointed the referee team for the central match of the 18th round of the Ukrainian championship between Kyiv’s “Dynamo” and Lviv’s “Karpaty”, which will take place on the coming Sunday, February 23, in the capital at the “Dynamo” stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi (kick-off at 18:00).
Mykola BalakinThe referee on the field is Mykola Balakin from Kyiv region. In the current UPL season, he has already officiated matches involving “Dynamo” twice. In the 9th round, the “white-and-blues” defeated Kryvbas in the capital under Balakin’s supervision (2:1), and in the 11th round this same referee confirmed a draw in the match “Dynamo” — “Shakhtar” (1:1).
The line referees in the match “Dynamo” — “Karpaty” will be Oleksandr Berkut (Sumy) and Viktor Matyash (Donetsk). The fourth referee is Yevhen Tsybulko (Cherkasy region).
A video assistant referee (VAR) system will also be used at the upcoming meeting, headed by Ihor Paskhal from Kherson.
