The Royal Spanish Football Federation is conducting an investigation into referee Jose Montero. This is reported by the portal Cadenaser.com.

According to the source, the reason for the investigation is Montero's involvement with the company Talentus Sports, which provides consulting and sports management services, with La Liga, UEFA, Atlético, Manchester City, and PSG among its clients.

During the investigation, which examines whether the company’s activities affected the referee's work quality, Montero himself has been temporarily suspended from football.
