As already reported, Madrid’s Atlético has not abandoned the idea of signing Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko from London’s Arsenal, despite an unsuccessful attempt to finalize this transfer last January.

According to GOL digital, the Spanish club intends to acquire Zinchenko at a reduced price, taking into account that his contract with the Gunners runs until the summer of 2026. The source reports that Atlético will make a proposal to Arsenal close to €15 million, which is half of the current market value of the Ukrainian legionnaire.
Recall that in January, Zinchenko's move to Atlético did not happen because the clubs failed to agree on the buyout sum: Arsenal wanted to receive €20 million for their player, which did not suit the Madrid side.
