— Of course, this is the start [of the second part] of the championship and the first game after the winter break. There were training camps in Turkey, a different climate. We arrived, trained on artificial turf. As soon as we got on grass — it was quite mixed impressions. I liked how we played, there were moments, we imposed our game. Perhaps, something was missing.
— How difficult was it to get used to the field? For example, Oleksandr Pikhaleonok said that the pitch was great.
— Yes, I agree with him. A top-notch pitch, there are no questions at all. Perhaps, towards the end of the match, the field started to sink a bit, but overall I am very satisfied. The field held up completely, and it was pleasant to play on it.
— "Karpaty" often managed to get close to the penalty area of "Dynamo", but almost did not manage to take a targeted shot. What do you think was lacking in the final third?
— What you will say — the finishing. We need to shoot more at the goal. That’s what our coaches require from us — to shoot, shoot, and shoot again. You said it right — we reached the opponent's goal many times, but lacked shots. Any shot in the penalty area — that's already dangerous. Plus, I could have scored, there was a very good moment.
— Throughout the match, you actively moved around the field: you were both on the left, on the right, and in the center forward position. Was that the coach's instruction or did you act according to the situation?
— More situationally, because I can play both on the right and on the left. During the training camps, I practiced the forward position. Plus the coach says that if we find ourselves not in our position, we should play as if we always play there. So we moved around the field situationally. It was not a practiced play.
— Are you very upset about the defeat to "Dynamo"?
— Of course, it's unpleasant, but we will draw conclusions and move forward, because there are still many matches ahead, and the second part of the season has just started.
