President of the UAF Andriy Shevchenko published a post on his Facebook page dedicated to the third anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine.

Thousands of heroes have given their lives for our freedom, over three hundred of them are members of the football family. We will remember every name.
Football always unites. Especially in the darkest times. Our children chase the ball even on destroyed fields. Our veterans with amputations step onto the field and return to life. Our warriors find strength to play even at the front line.
We thank every country, every partner that helps Ukraine persevere. And the global football family that supports and defends Ukraine and justice.
As our President Volodymyr Zelensky said: "The Ukrainian people deserve respect. Just as every people on earth deserves it. And as people deserve it – those who fight, those who have raised absolutely heroic sons and daughters".
We must show the whole world our unity. To be all together. For the sake of the country and every hero who gave their life for it!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!", — wrote Shevchenko.
