The head coach of Dynamo, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, played his 472nd match in the Ukrainian championships as a player and coach.
Oleksandr ShovkovskyiBy doing so, he surpassed Volodymyr Sharan and became the new record holder of UPL. Shovkovskyi played 426 matches in the elite division under the banner of Dynamo, and in 46 matches he managed the actions of Kyiv from the coaching platform.
By the way, besides Shovkovskyi, there are four other coaches from UPL-2024/25 in the top 10 in the “player-coach” nomination. They are Ruslan Rotan - 44 matches, Yuriy Vernydub - 398, Serhiy Shyshchenko - 386, and Yuriy Maksymov - 378.
