Exactly three years ago, the lives of millions of Ukrainians changed when the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine with a full-scale war. The morning of February 24, 2022, divided the lives of Ukrainians into "before" and "after".
Rockets, explosions, destruction, death, shattered destinies — this is what the enemy brought to our flourishing country. Military specialists predicted that Ukraine had only a few days left until capitulation, but the Ukrainian people fully demonstrated their best qualities — love of freedom, courage, compassion, loyalty, self-sacrifice. Thousands of Ukrainians stood up to defend their homeland with weapons in hand, risking their lives for a noble cause.
Ukraine did not break, withstood, and repelled the aggressor. This was not surprising; it was a true heroism of the Ukrainian people. The heroism of everyone who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and became a wall against the enemy, who brazenly seized our lands. The price of freedom is very high; it is measured in thousands of lives of the best sons and daughters of Ukraine, and we pay this price every day.
Ukrainians united and became a single front; some were on the front line, others in the rear, helping each other. An important component during these difficult times for our country has also been the humanitarian mission. At a time when sport took a back seat, the FC Dynamo focused on the urgent needs of society, concentrating efforts on assisting the military, restoring schools and hospitals after the enemy's destructive strikes. Only by uniting can we withstand and win this war.
A huge thank you to all who defend our country on the front lines! Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! And eternal memory to those who gave their lives and fell on the battlefield, protecting their native land...
President of FC Dynamo
