The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine responded to the request Sport-express regarding former football player Anatoliy Tymoshchuk:
Anatoliy Tymoshchuk (in the center)“We inform you that according to the Law of Ukraine on public associations, which includes the Public Union ‘Ukrainian Football Association’, the principles of their creation, operation, and interaction with state authorities are defined. These principles do not allow for state interference in their statutory activities.
By the decision of the Executive Committee of the UAF, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has been deprived of all sports awards and titles related to his sports activities (participation in national and international competitions).
According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, enacted by the decree of the President of Ukraine, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has been stripped of all state titles and awards.”
