The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine provided information on how many athletes and coaches in the country have ended their sports careers and gone to war.
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine emphasizes that more than three thousand Ukrainian athletes and coaches have ended their sports careers, taken up arms, and gone to defend the country from Russian occupiers. They demonstrate victory, loyalty to their homeland, and true heroism on the battlefield every day, serving as a role model since they made a conscious choice to defend their land,” - Sport Express cites the Ministry’s message.
