Today, February 26, is a special date in the history of the legend of the city of Kyiv – the hockey club "Sokol", with which Dynamo has long established warm, friendly relations. The hockey players and footballers support each other in competitions and wish success before important matches.
Exactly 40 years ago, on February 26, 1985, a historic event took place for "Sokol" and all of Ukrainian hockey. The witness was the Kyiv Palace of Sports, where "Sokol" crushed the score of 7:1 against the Voskresensk "Khimik" and, for the only time in its history and in the history of Ukrainian hockey as a whole, won bronze medals of the USSR championship.
