On Friday, February 28, in the match of the 19th round of the Ukrainian championship, Kyiv "Dynamo" played a 1:1 draw with Poltava "Vorskla". The match took place in Kyiv at the "Dynamo" stadium named after Valerii Lobanovskyi. Here is the post-match press conference of the head coach of the capital team Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.
— It can be said that today we were not ready to play in the conditions we faced. We are used to playing on a fast field and using that speed to control the ball. And today we had to simplify the game, chip the ball over the opponents’ backs and open up. One pass worked, and it led to a goal. There were several other good moments. But still, we aimed to play differently than we should have in a situation when the weather conditions impacted the game.
I certainly do not want to say that the field or something else is to blame. We simply did not adapt to these conditions. We opened up more in the shortfall, and as a result, we lost the ball and received counterattacks from the rival. This also affected the outcome.
As for the episode with the conceded goal, we did not do the necessary work. We allowed the opponent's player to make a run from deep and strike at the goal.
We tried to strengthen the game on the flanks using speed, but unfortunately, it did not yield results. The substitutions also did not give us either quality or speed.

— You can say anything now, but we had to be more confident, and the short passes only harmed us.
— Do you not think that you kept Yarmolenko too long, and he was not as mobile in the second half?
— I would not say something seems to me or doesn't seem to me. You ask Andrii, and he always says that everything is fine. Yarmolenko has qualities that our other players do not have. He can manage the ball, can make a pass, can find a goal-scoring moment. He did not manage that today; he was tightly covered.
