Co-owner of Manchester United Jim Ratcliffe admitted that extending the contract with Erik ten Hag was a mistake for the club.
Jim Ratcliffe— Undoubtedly, we are not perfect, and we have made many mistakes along the way. However, everything we do is right for the club. I agree that the decision to extend the contract with Erik ten Hag was erroneous. I think there were some mitigating circumstances, but ultimately, these were mistakes. I accept that and I apologize.
This became clear after three months. We made a mistake, but we are moving on. I believe we have corrected this, and today we are in a different position,” said Jim Ratcliffe.
Recall that Erik ten Hag was dismissed in October 2024.
