Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who unilaterally closed the door to the national team of Belgium in June 2023 due to a conflict with then-head coach Domenico Tedesco, explained to the team after his return to the squad of the "Red Devils," reports AFP.

- When I arrived on Monday, it was good that I had the opportunity to address the team to clarify everything, as many untruths had been said. Let’s not return to this issue anymore. I feel relieved. I made mistakes. Without a doubt, I went through a difficult psychological period. The season was long and hard, there were injuries. I felt there were problems with the coach.
I did not feel respect. The coach didn't even approach me. In 16 years of football, I have never experienced anything like this. At that moment I exploded because I didn’t understand what was happening. And I am a winner and I have a strong character,” Courtois confessed at a press conference on Tuesday.
He also positively assessed the appointment of Frenchman Rudy Garcia as the head coach of the national team, noting that he had a "good conversation" with him and received "positive impressions."
