“Dear Mr. President!
The editorial team of the online publication “Informator” requests that you award major Viktor Ivanovich Ozhogin the title of “Hero of Ukraine” for his significant contribution to protecting the people of Ukraine from Russian aggression.
Viktor Ivanovich Ozhogin is a well-known journalist from Dnipro, who went to defend Ukraine back in 2014. He participated in the ATO in the Donetsk region as a platoon commander. Since 2022, he participated in the battles for Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kremenna, Bakhmut, Izium, Kupiansk, and Lyman. He was seriously injured twice but continued to serve in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He rose to the position of deputy commander of the NGU battalion.
He holds the honorary title of “Honored Journalist of Ukraine” and, before the war, worked for many years as a television journalist at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Television and Radio Company (DODTRK) and as a sports commentator,” the petition states.
