England national team head coach Thomas Tuchel criticized the play of the "Three Lions" under his predecessor Gareth Southgate.

“Did the England national team have a distinct playing style in the past? No, not last summer. They lacked individuality, clarity, rhythm, polished patterns, and the players had no freedom, did not express themselves, and were not hungry. From my observations, they were more afraid of getting knocked out of the tournament than playing with a desire to win,” Tuchel is quoted as saying by Goal.
Let us remind you that last summer, the English team, under Gareth Southgate's leadership, reached the final of Euro 2024, where they lost to the Spanish national team.
